Greg Kahn is the founder and CEO of GK Digital Media -- a strategic advisory firm focused on the "Internet of Things." Greg's practice covers wearables, home automation, virtual reality, 3D printing, connected cars and emerging content models. Greg serves on the advisory board of the Internet of Things Consortium (http://iofthings.org).
Greg Kahn has over 20 years experience in the media industry, having worked at well-established content and advertising technology companies such as Viacom, Publicis Groupe, Meredith, and Omnicom. Earlier in his career, Greg launched two of his own ventures (filmBUZZ and Global Film School) and today he advises a diverse group of companies on the intersection of content, advertising, and technology.
In his most recent full-time corporate role, Greg served as Chief Business Development Officer for Meredith Corporation’s content unit--MXM. At MXM, Greg was responsible for all new business development and marketing initiatives.
Prior to MXM, Greg worked at Publicis Groupe’s Optimedia International for 6 years--serving as EVP, Business Development Director. He managed the agency’s business development, social media, entertainment, research and marketing programs for clients such as BBC America, Disney, L’Oreal, Pizza Hut and T-Mobile. During his tenure, the agency was named #1 by RECMA in the new business results and client retention category.
In 2010, Greg received both Advertising Age’s Media Maven and Mediaweek’s All-Star awards. He is a regular speaker at numerous industry events including American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A’s) conferences, South by Southwest (SXSW), VidCon and Digital Hollywood. Greg is also very active within the UJA-Federation of New York, currently serving as Chair of the Marketing Committee and Vice Chair of the Entertainment, Media and Communications Committee.
Greg earned his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He lives in Princeton, NJ with his wife and two children.
